GEG progresses construction of first 2 plants in Kenya

Green Energy Group reports progress on the construction of the first geothermal wellhead plant as part of the larger contract with KenGen.

OLK-02 is now taking shape with cooling towers, gen-sets and control room having been set up. “Everything is progressing according to plan and GEG expects to commission the plan early this fall”, said Siggi Leopoldsson, VP Projects of Green Energy Group”

The site will feature two 6.4 MW units, with preparations for the construction of the second unit having started as well.

The company is also preparing the sites for the additional plants as part of the KenGen contract on well pads in proximity to its current construction activities at OLK02 and OLK03.
